TRUST and DOUBT Benches
The Project
The "TRUST and DOUBT Benches" are a public art project conceived and executed by Linda Hesh. They are two six foot benches that were installed in Baltimore, Maryland July 2009-2010 in the park next to the Lyric Opera House. People passing by were invited to participate in the art work by sitting on the bench
of their choice and posing for a photograph. Images could be uploaded to an online gallery and captioned with what they TRUST or DOUBT. In addition, Linda Hesh photographed willing sitters during the Artscape Festival - three days of music and art.
